EHR Integration Services
Vector Medical Billing logs into the EHR the practice already uses — charges, claims, remits, and A/R stay in your system of record. Setup covers access, roles, and clearinghouse paths. Scoped from Jamaica, NY, for practices in all 50 states. A different system than the list below is confirmed before work starts.
What EHR integration means here
Not a rip-and-replace of your clinical system. Billers work inside the software you already run — with the access and file paths billing needs.
Day-to-day RCM — eligibility, charge entry, scrubbing, submission, posting, denials, A/R — happens in that EHR (and its clearinghouse connections). Integration setup is the onboarding work that makes those queues usable for Vector: users, permissions, payer connections, and a test cycle before live volume.
On Vector’s services list this is a separate engagement for setup scope. Ongoing billing then runs under the monthly fee once access is live.
What gets connected
Access and paths — not a new EHR brand forced onto the practice.
User access & roles
Billing logins with least-privilege roles for charge entry, claims, remits, and A/R — documented who can see what PHI.
Clearinghouse paths
Confirm how 837s leave and how 835s / eligibility responses return — portal, embedded clearinghouse, or separate gateway the practice already uses.
Work queues
Map where charges, denials, and aging live in your build so Vector’s queues match the practice’s screens — not a parallel spreadsheet.

Not on that list?
Tell us the product name and edition. We confirm whether Vector can work inside it — or what bridge (clearinghouse-only, export) is realistic — before any go-live date is set.
How EHR onboarding runs
Confirm the system. Provision access. Test a claim path. Then open live queues.
Confirm system
Product, edition, hosting, and who owns admin rights at the practice.
Provision access
Billing users, MFA where required, and role templates that match the BAA and least privilege.
Test the path
Sample eligibility, claim, and remit flow through clearinghouse and EHR screens.
Go live on queues
Charge entry, submission, posting, and A/R open under the monthly billing scope.
Integration vs buying a new EHR
Two different projects. Mixing them stalls both.
This engagement
Vector connects to — and works inside — the EHR you keep. Clinical templates, scheduling, and charting stay with the practice and its vendor.
EHR replacement
Selecting and migrating to a new clinical system is a practice IT / vendor project. Vector can re-onboard billing after a cutover — that is a new integration scope, not hidden inside the first quote.
What EHR integration is not
Related services stay separate so the quote matches the work.
Not the monthly claim cycle
Once live, eligibility through A/R is medical billing under the monthly fee. Integration is the setup that makes that possible.
Not transcription alone
Dictation-to-note return is medical transcription. Large HL7 note interfaces can share this onboarding conversation when both are in scope.
Not a Security Rule SRA
Provisioning access is not a full HIPAA security risk analysis of the practice environment — that remains its own engagement.
How this engagement is scoped
Setup is separate. Live billing then follows the monthly percentage.
How it is priced
Quote depends on EHR product, number of locations / providers, clearinghouse complexity, and whether extra interfaces (beyond standard billing access) are required. We do not invent a universal “go-live in X days” promise on this page.
Send your EHR name and edition for a written onboarding proposal.
What we need to start
EHR product and edition, admin contact, clearinghouse name if separate, location count, and whether any custom interfaces already exist.
Ready to confirm your EHR for Vector onboarding?
Send: (1) EHR name and edition, (2) number of providers / locations, (3) clearinghouse if separate from the EHR. We reply with whether we work in that system, what access we need, and a written setup fee.
EHR integration questions
Straight answers tied to the sections above.
Do we have to change our EHR?
No. Vector works in the system you already use when it is supported or confirmed. Replacing the clinical EHR is a separate practice decision.
Is setup included in the monthly billing fee?
Integration / onboarding setup is a separate engagement on the services index. Once live, the claim cycle runs under the monthly percentage.
What if our EHR is not on the list?
Send the product name. We confirm access options in writing before promising a go-live. Some systems work with clearinghouse-only bridges; others need a custom review.
Where do claims and remits live?
In your EHR and its connected clearinghouse — the same places your staff already open. Vector does not move the chart to a parallel billing-only database as the default model.
Who controls user permissions?
The practice (or its EHR admin) remains the authority. Vector requests roles needed for billing; you approve and can revoke access.
How long does onboarding take?
It depends on how fast admin access, MFA, and clearinghouse credentials are granted. The quote sets milestones; we do not invent a single nationwide day-count on this page.
